Water and its forms
Friday, April 5, 2019 - Saturday, September 28, 2019
Piazza Riforma 2 6900 Lugano Switzerland
In the paintings exhibited here, water is not interpreted by artists in purely aesthetic terms, as an element that gladdens nature with its transparent luminosity and lends joy to the pictures representing it. Rather, water is captured in its physical function, that is, as a vital element, and subsequently as a metaphysical element: it is a support for life itself, and forms its very substance, in the way it was interpreted by the primordial philosopher Thales of Miletus.
